Understanding The Need to Be Vulnerable and Honest When Dating

“Man goes from one woman to another, goes on changing. People think he is a great lover; he is not a lover at all.

He is avoiding, he is trying to avoid any deep involvement because with deep involvement problems have to be faced, and much pain has to be gone through.

So one simply plays safe; one makes it a point never to go too deeply into somebody.

If you go too deep you may not be able to come back easily. And if you go deeply into somebody, somebody else will go deeply into you also; it is always proportionate. If I go very deep in you the only way is to allow you also to go that deep in me. It is a give and take, it is a sharing.

Then one may get entangled too much, and it will be difficult to escape and the pain may be much. So people learn how to play safe: just let surfaces meet – hit-and-run love affairs. Before you are caught, run.

This is what is happening in the modern world. People have become so juvenile, so childish; they are losing all maturity.

Maturity comes only when you are ready to face the pain of your being; maturity comes only when you are ready to take the challenge.

And there is no greater challenge than love.”

I want to thank Shannon and her team for really helping me understand the dynamics of the REAL World of Dating!!  The above piece by Osho was a shock to me as it embodies everything Shannon has guided me on when dealing with dating challenges.  I am wiser and more mature than ever and this is spot on!!  I have been giving too much too soon and believing my “dates” felt the same depth – but they were not – I had to take it slowly and read the room better. I have realized that I have had an  “avoidance personality” and many ladies I met also suffer from this “avoidance” and it is exactly what we are dealing with…it is a coping mechanism for any kind of “fanatics” who believe they are striving for perfection but are so off the mark because as Shannon says, only through pain, suffering and learning and experiencing the high lows of our human existence can we really live life to the very fullest….and learn to laugh at ourselves and accept that love is perfect, not the humans😊

We leave it to the crusaders then to float on their clouds of self-righteousness while we get down and messy and tackle the challenges of real life – survival!! For me, admitting I am not perfect is a huge relief – but I also know I have much to offer and my integrity is 120% non-negotiable.

Osho is a genius – so very, very true!! Most humans seek instant gratification and are actually boxed in by their own limited thinking. Living in their “safe bubble”.

Thank you, Shannon, for getting me on the RIGHT road to meeting the RIGHT potential partners – forever grateful!!
