How are you all doing? I can’t believe it’s been eight years since I first connected with you! I was a wide-eyed 24-year-old, full of dreams and hope. And now at 32, I’m proud to say that many of those dreams have indeed come true.
Quick update: I’m now based in Nairobi, Kenya on a diplomatic assignment with an international NGO. Life has been rich, full, and beautiful, and yes, it’s included both love and heartbreak. I’ve been married and divorced, and while that chapter didn’t unfold as I’d hoped, it hasn’t changed my belief in love or all the magic that romance can bring. My time with you was invaluable in helping me set my goals, build visions for a fulfilling future, and helped me understand the delicate balance of relationships.
Understanding the games of love and the dating scene is never easy to navigate and you always keep me grounded!
It’s been about a year since the separation, and in that time I’ve focused on travel, joy, deep friendships, and just living my best life. But recently, I met someone who stirred something in me, and while it won’t lead anywhere, it reminded me that I am ready. Or at least open. To connection. To possibility.
So here I am, writing to you again. I’m not sure dating apps are the right space for me anymore, and your email from a few days ago confirmed that even more.
I know your core work is based in South Africa, but I thought I’d reach out anyway to see if you have any Perfect Partners here in Nairobi, where I now live, or in the East African region.
